How are ERPs connected with Upkip?
Last updated: February 2, 2021
The main approaches for ERP connections are four, and the choice is reduced to a balance between price-functionality-reliability. These are:
- Using a library or interface provided by the ERP integrator, this approach is the only one that allows a two-way connection to ERP (read and write). Eg. SAP B1 Integration Framework
- Using a standard connector in Logic Apps
- Database-level connection to a user with read-only rights and use of change-tracking mechanisms
- Export (automatic or manual) ERP information to a shared location. Data that is of interest is imported into the Common Data Model in the platform, which is asynchronously processed to calculate indicators or reports.
